Meet The Kinder Ninja

Hello there, my name is Theresa. My Mum often says that I was born with a stamp on my forehead that said, 'Teacher,' and for as long as I can remember, it is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. As a child, I was always playing 'schools'. Some of my earliest childhood memories include setting up various plush toys and dolls as 'students' in front of my blackboard at home and teaching them different things that I had learnt from my day at school. My pretend school had workbooks and I loved going to the shops and convincing my Mum or Dad to buy me stickers, stamps and special pens that I could use when I marked my students' work. I loved 'teacher' stationery, even back then! I always joke that my little brother had to go to school twice - once to regular school and then again when he came home.

I have been a 'real' teacher since 2002. Currently, I teach Kindergarten and I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what I do! I consider myself extremely blessed and privileged to be in a position in which I get to teach, influence, motivate and inspire the children in my care, each and every day.

When I am not teaching (and even when I am) I am a wife to a funny, loving, loyal and amazing husband (who also happens to be a teacher - I know right!) and I am a mother of two beautiful, gorgeous and amazing girls. My family mean the world to me, more than I could ever write here. I would do absolutely anything for them.

I also happen to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE God! Sharing about His unconditional love, mercy and grace for each of us, with the little people in my classroom, brings me great joy and is both an honour and a privilege.

Oh, and did I mention I am a retired Judoka? Hence the website title, 'The Kinder Ninja'!
